Service Description
Join us at Art & Connection for our two-day Book Binding workshop, where you will learn the art and techniques of various styles of book binding. Day 1 will focus on basic book binding techniques, from measuring and cutting paper to choosing decorative paper for the cover, and a simple stitch for the binding. You will leave with a small checkbook size mini book, as well as the knowledge to create books of all sizes. Day 2 will be an extension of Day 1 - use the knowledge from the first day of class to hone your focus and learn the intricate art of leather binding, completing a book with a sewn spine. Come with an open mind to learn a new art form - instructor Flavia Scarsella will guide you through every step! Ages 16+

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
